Dutch cable TV provider CAIW is the first in the world to put into service a system that minimizes loudness differences between digital radio- and TV-stations. Viewers and listeners are sometimes faced with sudden loudness differences when zapping between digital radio- or TV-stations. Until now, cable TV operators had nearly no possibilities to do something about this. CAIW is not responsible for these loudness differences, but they are unpleasant to the customers and therefore CAIW purchased this system.
As a logical next step in the extension of activities, from now on the products of ITNM Systems will be represented in other countries as well. The companies that will serve as representative are HEADROOM Broadcast GmbH, located in Berlin and IPK Broadcast Systems, having its place of business in Singapore. Both are active in the professional broadcast market. The representation improves the international position to market our digital television products. For customers, it is an advantage to have a local point of contact.
TV West – the regional Dutch radio and television station for the western part of Holland – has published a new website where an important part is reserved for WestText, the station’s teletext service. For that purpose, an ITNM Systems TTW100 was installed just recently. This system is able to convert the actual teletext to an output than can be integrated into any website. Another Dutch regional station RTV Rijnmond made the same choice in an earlier stage.
Like many others, Dutch cable operator Kabel Noord has selected the ITNM Systems DST100. This means that subtitling and teletext of channels like Discovery, Animal Planet, Cartoon Network and National Geographic has become available in excellent quality for their group of users of digital TV decoders.
